Mark Powell – CEO, the Warehouse Group – “Business, Leadership and Faith”

Mark has been a follower of Jesus Christ for just over ten years, following an Alpha course in 2003. He has been married to Maria for 24 years with two daughters aged 23 and 21. He is a qualified Baptist Pastor with a degree in theology. He is also Group CEO of the Warehouse Group, which includes the iconic Red Sheds, The Warehouse, plus Warehouse Stationery, the technology and appliance retailer Noel Leeming and the Outdoor and adventure sport retailer Torpedo 7.  Mark has a particular interest in the truth of the Christian worldview and the difference that makes to one’s life 24/7, especially in the interaction of business, leadership and faith.

Rob has had an international career with more than 20 years of experience in the finance and insurance sectors. He has held a number of senior management positions with American Express including General Manager World Markets – Insurance, CEO American Express Banking Corp. in India and Country Manager New Zealand. Early in his career he held various management roles with Visa International and Unilever.

Rob is passionate about lifting the lid on leadership and good governance particularly in Christian organisations and non-profits. For many years he served on the board of World Outreach International and is currently a member of the of Willow Creek Association (New Zealand) board.
